For the second year in a row a Wilson art student has won the Superintendent’s Award “Best in Show” at our district art show.  Last year, the top honor was won by Christina Woo.  This year, please congratulate Miffy Huang (11th) for winning “Best in Show” for her self-portrait titled “How Can I Paint the Sky?”.

This piece will be purchased by the district for $100 and will hang in the district office gallery for eternity so that it may be enjoyed for generations to come.

There are 2 categories that our students compete in. One is the 9-10th grade category and the other is the 11-12th grade category.  Each of these categories has 1st-3rd awards and a certain number of honorable mentions.   Though last year WHS students were awarded 5 out of 6 of the top awards, I am happy to announce that for the first time ever one school has won all of the top 6 awards in both categories!  Our art students swept the 9-10th grade awards and our photo students swept the 11-12th grade awards.

Please congratulate:
