Colleges and Universities from around the country have representatives that visit Wilson High School to provide valuable information on admissions and programs. Signs will begin about two weeks before the scheduled presentation dates.

Location for all presentations will be the Media Center.

Financial Aid Parent Meeting

Applying for and understanding the financial aid process can be a bit overwhelming on you own.  Please plan to join us on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 6:30pm in the Media Center as a representative from the college financial aid office discusses the details of financial aid, including the FAFSA and Dream Application.  Date is tentative and subject to change based on presenter schedule, thank you for understanding!

MSAC

Mt. San Antonio Community College will be presenting information on their campus, steps for enrollment and program information to all seniors through English classes in the month of October.  All students who take part in the process here on campus will be eligible for early orientation and registration dates!  

Rio Hondo

Rio Hondo will be on campus throughout the year to answer any questions and provide students with an overview of programs and steps to admission.  Students who complete these steps with on campus workshops will have access to early orientation and registration.  Visit dates will be posted ASAP. 

 

Off Campus Opportunities

While not all colleges and universities are able to make it to Wilson, they after hold meetings in the LA or Orange County area.  When we hear about them, you'll hear about them here! 

 

1. Boston University will be hosting receptions in Pasadena on September 24th and Garden Grove on September 25th for high school juniors and seniors and their families. These events are wonderful opportunities for students to learn more about BU and the college application process. Attached is the reception flyer as well as a link to RSVP on their website.

 

2. Interested in attending college overseas?  Discover the advantages of a UK education (such as shorter and cheaper degree programs), learn more about the UK application process and meet 6 of the top universities simultaneously at a UK education event at Santa Monica Public Library on Sunday 17 September or at Westridge School, Pasadena on Monday 18 September.

The universities attending are: University of BristolDurham UniversityNewcastle UniversityUniversity of SouthamptonUniversity of Warwick, and University of York.  Students must register in advance here: register in advance.
