About our Team
Our team started in 2012 as the RoboCats, with a small group of students interested in robotics. In 2015, we changed our team name to Alpha Genesis and began competing in FTC (First Tech Challenge) competitions in Southern California, Northern California, Nevada, and Texas. Our team is made up of 12 students from Glen A. Wilson High School, two coaches, and many mentors. Over 50% of our students come onto our team with no experience in robotics. Our team members are well-balanced and participate in various sports and activities such as, band, link crew, badminton, track, cross country, wrestling, swim, water polo, drama, and art.
Our Mission
Our mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
