CAP: College Access Plan

In partnership with HLPUSD, CAP provides no-cost college readiness advisement and topic-specific workshops for high school and middle school students, families, and to graduates that attend college. Services range from assisting students and graduates with college applications, financial aid, and other forms of essential college preparatory access and success support.

After school Drop in: Mondays and Wednesdays in Room G-9

CAP's drop in program offers students an opportunity to expand upon the work they are doing with their assigned school counselor to enhance their college knowledge and preparation.  Ms. Areli Patino is here to support students with the following services:  

• Identify colleges that match their interests and personalities
• Receive comprehensive college application assistance
• Understand college majors and career pathways
• Submit financial aid applications 
• Identify scholarships
• Write and review personal statements and scholarship essays
• Create a community college transfer plan
• Activate college student portals and submit housing applications
• Do anything college related!
