Summer School priority application period is January 1 - February 27th.  After available space is determined, a late application will be available for any open classes. 

Completion of the summer school request process does not guarantee placement in a summer school class. Classes are limited and students in need of credit recovery will have first priority.  Student course placement can be confirmed in the Aeries Student Portal by March 31. 

Students are encouraged to review all class offerings BEFORE submitting their request.  Classes meeting at La Puente HS, Los Altos HS, Wilson HS and Workman HS will be IN PERSON.  Students in need of an Independent Study VIRTUAL option should submit the paper request for Puente Hills Virtual Academy available in the Counseling office.     

Students are encouraged to select classes listed at their school of attendance for next year (unless the virtual option is preferred).  Each school will fill classes with their current students first, then open available space to other district students.   

Students must attend BOTH sessions for a 10 credit advancement class.

**** Students enrolled in Virtual Academy classes will have a distribution date to attend in person.  On that date, students will be assigned a DAILY check in time lasting 10-20 minutes and a longer WEEKLY check in of about 60 minutes.  Check in times will vary but will be occur during the above days and times.  This option is entirely asynchronous - there is limited teacher support and all course work is completed independently.  If you sign up for Virtual AND will be traveling out of the country, you may need access to a VPN.  Please contact Puente Hills High School for details.
