My name is Jennifer Yang and I am this year’s captain of the SciOly team. I’m a senior and have been a part of the team for three years, doing both studying and build events. I look forward to working with the team in my last competitive season!

My name is Emily Chang and I am this year's vice-captain. I am currently a junior and I have been involved in Science Olympiad since 5th grade. I typically enjoy biology events but am always open to trying something new. I am excited to work with everyone on the team this year!

Hi my name is Avery Liu and I'm currently a senior. This will be my 5th year competing in Sci Oly. I enjoy practice and teamwork events, and I look forward to an exciting season this year!
Emma Liu - 12th
Hi everyone! My name is Emma Liu and I am a senior. This will be my fifth year in Science Olympiad and I can't wait to reach great heights with the team this upcoming season!
Elizabeth Leung - 12th
My name is Elizabeth Leung and part of the Science Olympiad Cabinet. I am currently a senior and I have been in Science Olympiad for 9 years, spending 4 of those 9 on the Wilson Team! I love lab events such as Chemistry Lab and Forensics. I am hyped for what this year has in store for us Wildcats!
Ethan Lee - 12th
My name is Ethan Lee and I am currently a senior and have been involved in Science Olympiad for a long 9 years with 4 of those years being on this Wilson team. I mainly partake in all the geology events like Dynamic Planet and Remote Sensing. I look forward to reaching for the stars with this amazing and wonderful team!!

Mr. Han is part of the Science Department and is currently teaching the biomedical science classes. He coaches Science Olympiad and HOSA at Wilson.

Hello, everyone. My name is Judy Chap and I am a first generation graduate. I've been teaching for 6 years. I've taught general science at middle school for 3 years and just wrapped up my 3rd year of Biology in high school. I've coached Science Olympiad at the middle school level for 2 years and 3 years at the high school level. I'm so excited to be part of a competitive team that is committed and dedicated to learning about STEM related topics and I hope you are too!

Welcome to Science Olympiad
Science Olympiad is for students interested in STEM, teamwork, and competitive events. In the last 6 years, the team has made tremendous strides in becoming a competitive team.
The 2016-2017 Team placed 3rd in the Los Angeles Regional Competition and 12th in State Championship at Caltech.
The 2017-2018 Team placed 2nd in the Los Angeles Regional Competition and 4th in the State Championship at Caltech.
The 2018-2019 Team placed 2nd in the Los Angeles Regional Competition and 5th in the State Championships at Caltech
The 2019-2020 Team placed 1st in the Los Angeles Regional Competition. State Championships were cancelled due to Covid-19.
The 2020-2021 Team placed 4nd in the Los Angeles Regional Competition and 12th in the State Championships at Caltech
The 2021-2022 Team placed 1st in the Los Angeles Regional Competition and 4th in the State Championships at Caltech

Our Mission
Science Olympiad is a national non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of K-12 science education, increasing student interest in science, creating a technologically literate workforce and providing recognition for outstanding achievement by both students and teachers. These goals are achieved by participating in Science Olympiad tournaments, incorporating Science Olympiad into classroom curriculum and attending professional development workshops.
